Why KukuFarm exists.
Poultry farming in Kenya is a serious business run on some of the weakest record keeping in agriculture. We are changing that.
Most poultry farms already collect the data they need to be profitable. Eggs are counted, feed is issued, birds are lost, sales are made. The problem is that the numbers live in different notebooks, different phones and different heads — so nobody can answer the questions that actually matter: which batch performs best, what a bird truly costs to raise, whether last month made money.
KukuFarm brings those records into one connected system. Each entry feeds the next: a feed issue updates inventory, cost and FCR; a mortality record updates the batch, the mortality rate and your alerts; a sale updates the customer, the invoice, revenue and the profit & loss. Nothing is entered twice.
We build for the farm with 300 kienyeji birds and the commercial operation running tens of thousands of layers — the same clean system, scaled by the package you choose.
Farming on paper
- • Notebooks that get wet, lost or left in the poultry house
- • Spreadsheets only one person understands
- • Feed costs discovered weeks after the money is gone
- • Mortality noticed only when the flock looks thin
- • Profit that is a feeling, not a figure
Farming on KukuFarm
- • One record per event, entered where the work happens
- • Every batch, house and farm in a single system
- • Feed cost and FCR calculated automatically
- • Mortality thresholds that alert you the same day
- • Profit per bird, per egg and per batch — in KES
What we hold to
Farmer-first
If a farm worker can't use it in the house, it doesn't ship.
Honest numbers
Every insight comes from your own records — never invented.
Kenya-built
KES, M-Pesa, kienyeji and local feed practice by default.
Data you keep
Your farm records stay yours, including after a trial ends.
